LittleWhite (Last Updated: 1 month) [Top]Q. How can I upload a new song - [
]First of all, when you want to upload a new song, you have to check if this one is in the DataBase.
Be careful for the songs coming from demo, sometimes they didn't have the same name that the demo.
Once you have completely sure that the song is not yet on Nectarine, you have to find the artist in the DataBase ( using the search tool ).
Then, on the artist page, you will see the link to upload a new song for the artist.
Fill the form, and wait for a moderator to active your song. You will receive a PM telling that the song is activated or rejected.

LittleWhite (Last Updated: 1 month) [Top]Q. Allowed song encoding: CBR 192 kbps - [
]All songs, meant to be streamed on Nectarine, must be encoded as CBR (Stereo or mono). We are accepting from 128Kbs to 320Kbs but please note that the format preferred is the 192Kbs.
If you use wrong encoding, song may seem broken and will not play. Also, in addition, it will probably cause stream down for few minutes and skip few of following requests, so they will not play and the 5 day lock time will remain.
If you find such as song, mark it as "needs re-encoding" or send PM to any moderator (try to select active). You can also include download link for correctly encoded song version.

Danger (Last Updated: 1 month) [Top]Q. What happened to the old Nectarine? Where is my old account? - [
]In the past, Nectarine was coded and maintained by Chris "Yes" Le Sage, the platform was resurrected several times after hard disk failures. In mid-2008, a script kiddie decided to hack the last incarnation of Yes' work, Nectarine v6, abusing a security hole in one of its components. That way, the whole server was wiped out. Sadly, Yes' backup HDD also died a few days before this, so all backups were lost. Luckily, most of the data from the HDD could be restored by professionals, however this only includes the song database. Hence, your old accounts, statistics, etc. do not exist anymore. Additionally, after this incident, Yes decided not to work on Nectarine anymore, so a completely new and fresh team is bringing you the best of demoscene music now!

Saga_Musix (Last Updated: 1 month) [Top]Q. What are the requests rules? - [
]You can requests 4 song by session. It means, that you can only 4 of your requests in the queue at the same time. Once your requests are played, you can requests other songs.
After requesting a song, this song will be locked 5 days and 3 hours.
When a song is locked, this one can't be requested.

]Yes, there are some.
Some country codes are available for countries which do not appear in the list mentioned above or for those who want to look cool:
hh
fam (uses the colors of famfamfam site)
wales
england
scotland
catalonia
Mind that for these codes you need to use the name which is placed by the flag, not any abbreviation (example: if you need Catalonian flag, type "catalonia" in the Country code input field).
